TESTIMONIALS
I bought this book after listening to a true-crime podcast on which Vern (the author) was a guest. Vern’s tells the story of what he and his then wife (Pam) experienced, living directly across the hall from Milwaukee serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. Their story offers a unique perspective into Jeffrey’s day to day life, and includes details that only prove the author’s authenticity. I loved it. I read it in one day. Would recommend!!

I’ve been researching Dahmer’s case since 2019 and had wanted to read this book for quite some time. I finally bought it and read it, and I must admit, it provides a unique, once-in-a-lifetime glimpse into what it was like living alongside Dahmer. Only a handful of individuals truly got to live the experience. Not only is it a good insight, Vernell also talks about the impact that Dahmer’s crimes being discovered had on his marriage and the community within the building alone. It’s very personal and that’s what I love about it. I 100% recommend it.

This book is an intimate retelling with a conversational feel. The author presents a unique perspective of what it was like to live across the hall from one of America's most depraved serial killers. The most shocking part is just how normal Dahmer seemed - a truth the author conveys in impressive detail. This is a quick read and one that will leave you wondering if you truly know your neighbors.

I am Donna from California, and I have read many books, watched videos on YouTube, etc. Your book was the best by far. It was easy to read, and you told it like it was. Thank you for your story, it was an amazing one. I would love to chat with you sometime when you are free. I would also like to know, if I send you my copy of your book, could you sign it for me? Of course I will pay for the shipping both ways. Just thought I would ask, it's ok if you can't do it, I understand. Anyways, it's to be friends with you on Facebook. Take care!

Hello ! I have watched two documentaries, the latest one with the tapes and some other one . And I think that you definitely should consider making your book a movie, it’s an interesting story and I love how you put it together in a book . And since people love true crime and know you already from the Dahmer story, it definitely gonna have views .
Claudia
Yup sir. I honestly cannot believe that a producer hasn’t picked it up yet. What would be cool is if you narrated the film…who’d you want to play the younger you.

Morning Vernell. Hmmm good question ? No doubt your story is gold and has massive potential to make one. Think a Lot of ppl would definitely watch it as many folk will watch anything to do with Jeff and are always looking for new content. Think a little fictional drama would need to be added to it? the way they did with Netflix and then there’s the question who would play Jeff? Evan Peters performance would be hard to top.
Jacqueline
What I like as well you kept real when you said you Jeff appeared to be a regular decent person and at the time you didn’t see any red flags one thing I said to my wife that part about sandwich was bs like you said he was respectful if you spoke but other then that he stayed doing him I knew he was not offering food but bs sell it keep the viewer more in tune I guess but Bro you need to do a documentary on it your truth is needed instead net flix and there bs.

Yeah, I will. Ohh a movie would be great, cuz its an really interesting story and I think more people would hear about your story if you make a movie out of it, so a good idea to reach more people.
Claire
Absolutely. Thanks for writing the book. It's an important document and I'm recommending it to everyone I know. Thanks again.

I think it would make a really good movie, especially since there's a Netflix series about it I think that a first hand experience from your point of view would show what first hand what people like you experienced when in contact with him and the thoughts and feelings you had, I ordered a little pendent with her finger print on it and on the back it says "a touch of gram" so I'm excited for that to come in! You should be proud of you! Writing a book is a big accomplishment.
